Tours and activities for one and two weeks in Playas Del Coco

The following are the activities that our guests staying in Playas Del coco can do in one or two weeks.

1. ATV and Canopy tour

It’s a good combination of fun and adventure. First take the Atv across the mountain by rustic roads and get in touch with the nature and with 100% adrenaline rush. And this is just the beginning, for those, who really want to have fun there is a zip line or canopy tour, that takes you by cables over the tops of the trees, where you can often see some animals like monkeys, birds and more.

2. Arenal volcano and hot springs

We end up on the plains of San Carlos, dominated by the impressive cone of the Arenal Volcano, famous for its incredible eruptions, lava streams and incandescent rocks explosions.

We will visit an ornamental garden the hot springs and spa where you can get relaxed and observe the Volcano; also we visit the area around the Arenal lake in search of wildlife.

NOTE: visibility of volcano depends on weather conditions.

3. Beach tour

This tour take you to the beaches around Playas del Coco - Ocotal, Hermosa, Panama and more where most of the biggest tourist projects in the area located, in case you are interested in buying some properties...

4. Palo Verde National Park

This is a very nice and relaxing tour where the guests will be able to see a lot of animals such as: Monkeys, Iguanas, Big Crocodiles, Bats, Raccoons and a great varieties of Birds such as: Rosette Spoon Billed, The Osprey, Herons Etc. While you are resting and watching everything enjoy a boat ride on one of the biggest rivers we have in Costa Rica.

Note: Tour Guide is optional just in case people wants to have a guide during the whole trip, it costs $40 for the guy.

5. Half day snorkelling

The colourful and beautiful kinds of little fishes and corals will be a good experience in the area.

7. Liberia city tour

Liberia is a town with an interesting blend of modern and colonial architecture. You will see the adobe and tile roof houses built over two hundred years ago. On the way back, you will visit the local souvenir shop at Guardia where Costa Rican arts and handicrafts of pottery and wood are featured.

8. Africa Mia Zoo

The one and only in Guanacaste!!! You will have the great opportunity to be in the biggest Zoo in Central America, Called "Africa Mia", where they have a great variety of exotic animals coming from South Africa such as: Zebras, Antelopes, Ostriches, Hippos, Giraffes, Camels, Wild Boars and many others.

The main idea of the place is to make you feel like if you were in Africa watching most of the common animals with the experienced guides.

9. Congo trail canopy tour

This canopy is located close to El Coco; once you arrived, we shall guarantee a full range of excitement for adventurous visitors. You are invited to enter the forest canopy and see the jungle life from a unique and different perspective. We start with a short hike where we have 11 cables, and three suspension bridges waiting for you. Don’t miss this wonderful adventure.

10. Monteverde cloud forest

During this exotic adventure you will visit a conservation project located near the Monteverde area. This Tour will allow you to experience the Cloud Forest just as the birds do. Your adrenaline level is guaranteed to rise to its maximum on this tour. If you do not want to try the Canopy Tour there are trails with walkway bridges where you can take your time observing the birds, flora and fauna from the hanging bridges as well as see one of the world's largest private insect collections in the learning centre.

11. Corobici River Safari Floating Tour

Corobici River is perfect, if you have been dreaming about the joys of white water rafting. The waters are not rough, but you have to work out to manage them. ( the river is class I – II ).The tour is two hours of rubber boat trip down the river which is bordered by tropical dry forest, where you will see trees like Ceiba, Mahogany, Guanacaste .
Also, during the journey, you may see some of the animals and exotic birds, basilisks and monkeys. Before you board the rubber raft, a certified guide will instruct you on safety procedures.

The country’s Pacific ports and beach resorts provide access to some of the best deep sea fishing in the world, Billfish are the country’s biggest attraction, with abundant sailfish and marlins off the Pacific coast, but the fishermen also hook plenty of other feisty fighters, such as Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo and roosterfish. 
Our prime fishing season is December-May.  But we catch fish year-round because the Gulf of Nicoya is a magnet for many different species of baitfish.  Our prime fishing season is also dry season, so the seas are generally calm December-May.  Our waters abound with whales, dolphins, turtles, manta rays, and many other species of marine life throughout the year...
